| Call 2017 subtopics:

4.2 Traditional and non-traditional cultural values

National cultures are characterized by a large number of values and their interactions. As a result of globalization, traditional and non-traditional cultural values of the EU countries and of Russia interact, sometimes giving rise to unpredicted situations. This interaction is an object of different disciplines including psychology, philosophy, history, philology, ethnography, economics, etc. The development of intercultural relations the last years shows that there are very many problems urgently to be solved. The aim of this research consists not only in assembling large empirical materials pertaining to the general issue of traditional and non-traditional values but also in proposing new methodological approaches and conceptual models which may yield practical solutions to be implemented in the EU countries and in Russia.
